Full address
Rua Saldanha Marinho, 76 — Room 03
Downtown · Curitiba — PR, Brazil
ZIP 80410-150
How to get there
Rua Saldanha Marinho is in the heart of Downtown Curitiba, between Passeio Público park and Largo da Ordem, a few steps from the Rua XV de Novembro pedestrian mall — likely the city's most iconic street. That means practically every urban bus line passes nearby: getting off at the Downtown terminals (Praça Rui Barbosa, Praça Tiradentes, Praça Osório) puts you 5 to 10 minutes away on foot.
If you drive, there are metered street parking spots nearby and a few private 24h parking lots about a block from the dojo. We don't recommend parking in metered ('Zona Azul') spots during evening classes without watching the ticket time.
If you prefer a bike or scooter, there's bicycle parking at Praça Osório and the route through Downtown streets is short and flat.
Class schedule
- Tuesday — 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
- Thursday — 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
- Saturday — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Beginners are welcome in any class. The first one is free — it's your chance to get to know the dojo, the sensei and the house's approach before deciding whether to continue.
The training room
Room 03 is dedicated to training, with tatami mats, a mirror, changing space and an area to leave your belongings. No shared gym with treadmills and noise — the environment is quiet and focused exclusively on practice. That quiet is what allows the attention needed for rei (the ritualized bow that opens and closes every class).
Areas of Curitiba we serve
Being Downtown, the dojo is geographically convenient for neighborhoods like Batel, Água Verde, Centro Cívico, Rebouças, Alto da XV, Juvevê, Cabral, Bigorrilho and Mercês, all reachable in 15-25 minutes by car or bus. We also serve practitioners coming from the Curitiba Metropolitan Region (São José dos Pinhais, Araucária, Colombo, Pinhais and Piraquara), since Downtown is the natural convergence point for intercity transport.
